Beaches
Sydney and Wollongong is home to some of Australia’s best surfing beaches. Most of Sydney's 37 beaches are situated within 30 minutes of the city's CBD by public transport.
Wollongong coastline offers 17 sparkling surf beaches. Wollongong’s beaches are in easy walking distance from shops and hotels.
Farmstay Experiences
Australian farm experiences are both fun and educational. They offer students a chance to taste billy tea and damper, watch sheep shearing shows, stockman horse riding demonstrations or feed the animals.
History
The Rocks area is the historic site of Sydney's first European settlement. The Rocks is Australia's oldest suburb retaining a lot of its early colonial heritage. Located between the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, The Rocks offers spectacular views of Sydney and has an excellent weekend Market, shopping and arts.
Shopping
The Queen Victoria Building, Strand Arcade, Skygarden, Harbourside and Centrepoint are among Sydney’s best shopping areas. David Jones, Myer and Gowings are the main department stores which are all located within a block of each other in the city centre.
Wildlife Parks
Students can visit Australia’s unique wildlife in a natural Australian bush setting. Students can see Australia’s famous koala, wombat and echidna. At the hands on zoo students also have an opportunity to feed a kangaroo, wallaby or an emu.
Education
The Wollongong Science Centre is an enjoyable educational facility with over 100 "Hands On" exhibits relating to various themes. Themes include "Electricity", "The Changing Earth", "Energy And Motion", "Visions", "Microscopes" and "Astronomy". |
